Eligibility criteria:
- You are a UK resident
- Only eligible for properties purchased in England (not in Wales, Scotland or Ireland)
- Property must be purchased in the last 4 years
- Purchased an investment property as a private landlord or through limited company
- Purchase price over £50k
- You have not sold the property you are claiming stamp duty refund for
- You can only claim if your property had any of the below defects / issues (you will be asked to provide evidence):
- Roof leaks
- Cracks in walls
- Mould / dry rot
- Structural issues
- Defective lintel
- Damp
- Missing Kitchen / bathroom
- Missing floorboards
- Asbestos
- Water supply
- Missing or unsafe electrics / plumbing
- Other substantial issues that require fixing
